Their Initiatives
From the construction of a Trillage machine to reforestation, and the modernization of a small chocolate processing plant, some of the projects currently in development are listed below.

ASOPCAFA
This cooperative is located on the border between the Huila and Tolima departments in Colombia, an area that suffered greatly from violence in past decades. Out of resilience and a strong sense of community, Asopcafa was born, allowing them to move forward. They are now seeking funding to acquire a hulling machine so they can process and export their products directly.
Allima
This cooperative has over 300 members, located in the region bordering the Peruvian Amazon. Their goal is to add more value to their work. Currently, they have the capacity to process cocoa distillate and transform cocoa into chocolate. However, they are seeking growth and expansion, focusing on technological advancements to increase their cocoa processing capabilities.

Sabores del Bosque
This initiative emerged from a deep love for the environment, guided by Proasocio and supported by some foreign funding. This cooperative is one of fewer than five in the region producing with Demeter certification and doing reforestation. Visiting them is an unforgettable experience, showcasing their knowledge of production in harmony with nature. Their coffees are exceptional.
Chocolates Abiseo
Abiseo is a project founded by Alembert Cachique, a self-taught chocolatier who makes the best chocolates in Juanjui. He is currently looking for funding to expand and upgrade the small processing plant he operates. His meticulous approach to fermentation has earned him recognition. At present, he collaborates closely with 33 cocoa producers in the region.

Luis Fernando Muñoz
The story of Luis Fernando Muñoz is truly inspiring. Luis left everything behind and, along with his wife Liliana Gaspar, moved to his grandparents’ farm. No one else wanted to take on the responsibility, so he decided to manage it himself. Today, he represents the fourth generation of a cocoa-growing family from Huila. Luis is committed to preserving this tradition and continuing in his father’s footsteps. His cocoa is highly sought after and was awarded at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris in 2017.
Agrorigem
Danielle and Rebeca are two entrepreneurial women and the founders of the Brazilian chapter of the IWCA (International Women’s Coffee Alliance). They are an inspiring example for the coffee industry in Brazil. Currently, they are developing a project focused on enhancing coffee traceability in the country.

Asprounion
Asprounion is based in southern Colombia, in the department of Nariño, producing exceptional coffees at over 2000 meters above sea level. Under the leadership of Luis Carlos, Asprounion has grown by prioritizing the well-being of coffee growers. Through their brand, La Jacoba, they have successfully added the deserved value to their coffees.
